About The Family of Josephat and Clara Grenier
Josephat Alphonse Grenier was granted a homestead west of Drumheller, Alberta
on a quarter section of land in 1910.
His marriage to Clara Charlebois in 1917 was the beginning of a family of 12
offspring.
Today, their descendents number in the hundreds and the families of the
descendants of Joe and Clara annually celebrate our heritage at the Grenier
Family Reunion on the August long weekend, graciously hosted by the 3rd
generation caretakers of the homestead, Christopher (Redneck) and Bernadine
(Bernie) Grenier.
The majority of the research into the Grenier Family was done by Lois and
Armand Garneau. Their hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated.
